Society Today

The controversy over stem cell research is very good example of the mentality of this society.  Religious fanatics disagree, but then they disagree with anyone’s so called “rights”.  The fight over the idea that an embryo is a human life is one of the most stupid idea’s I’ve ever heard.  From the dictionary it means “ organism in early development “. It is in no way considered a human being.  Human embryos are destroyed every day.  Repression of knowledge and advancement has always been the goal of many fanatical religious leaders.  The founders of this country saw the dangers from it’s very conception. Our politicians has seen fit to create absurd laws and convince the American people it's for their own good and somehow morally right.

Many in this society fight for so called “right to life”.  Then they put our children in institutions that are more like prisons than schools. They are treated as criminals at the 1st mistake they make. They have no rights in this society.  Our legal system wants to treat them as adults the 1st time they make a mistake.  Ideas like “zero tolerance” comes from people working in the legal and education system of this country, simply because they don’t want to or don’t know how to deal with the problem of children growing up.

When a child makes a mistake they want to take away any chance of an education, a decent job or the opportunity to live a normal life in society.  The so-called “war on drugs” is good example of two-faced ideals in this country.  Children and young adults are targeted in many cases by law enforcement with questionable and unethical tactics.  Society knows from history, the more force you put on targeted individuals and groups, the more they attempt to revolt. We need to remind ourselves of this fact. So the cultivated violence we see and read about is in no way unexpected.  The legal system uses this idea to build and strengthen the law enforcement community.

From a society that doesn’t think twice about inflicting the death sentence and carrying it out, I find very hypocritical.  The legal system is politically and special interest driven. With that said, it’s impossible to be fair. This country may have been founded with fairness and equality in mind, but is definitely not how it has turned out. We have politicians, lawmakers, with the morality of a baboon deciding what’s right and wrong.

Children are now a target of the legal system. We see prosecutors patting themselves on the back as they destroy lives of our young. The very same people that claim “right to life” ideals are the ones that don’t think twice about destroying the life of a child or young adult as they try to grow up in an unforgiving society. If life is so important, why then logically wouldn't they want to protect the lives we have?  This apathy has been created by propaganda from fanatics and the justice system.

What happened to compassion and understanding in this society? Religious entities seem to be the strongest opponent to these ideals. I see nothing wrong with religion as long as it isn’t forced on someone else or create a danger as some seem to do.

If Americans don't start fighting back, there will be no freedoms left. You don't have much of a chance in our election process. The candidates you can vote for ether have connections or money, or they wouldn't be on the ballot. This government has made it impossible to have fair elections. You have only their choices to pick from.
